Which honeys should you actually launch with?

Ask a real advisor — built from India variant data and 12+ years in the trade — about each honey's taste, demand, repeat and proof burden, and how to build a disciplined 2–4 SKU starting portfolio instead of a sprawling menu.

Why it matters

Most new brands fail on the line-up, not the honey.

Launching a menu of eight to twelve variants feels generous. It's the most expensive mistake in the category — it splits your capital, attention and shelf rotation across SKUs that won't earn their keep. A tight, deliberate range built on the right layers can carry a brand for years.

Always carry a repeat base

Multifloral and mustard are the workhorses — broadly liked, bought again and again. The base is your cash-flow engine and your trust-builder. A range with no base — say Sidr, Acacia and Himalayan — looks impressive and quietly bleeds money.

The premium names need proof

Sidr, Acacia, "Himalayan" and "Wild Forest" are the most faked and most overhyped labels in India. The more premium the variant, the more pollen, origin and lab proof the market demands. If you can't back the claim, don't launch the SKU.

Infused isn't floral — say so

Plenty of "Tulsi," "Neem" and "Ajwain" honey is regular honey with added flavour, not nectar from that plant. Label infused as infused. In a category full of vague claims, that honesty is itself a differentiator — and crystallisation is a sign of real honey, not a defect.

Not sure which 2–4 variants to start with? Ask the advisor above — it'll build a base-plus-differentiator portfolio around your audience and budget.
